Team Spotlight – Sowparnika Cheluvala’s Journey into Engineering

At Transvault, we are passionate about what we do, but that passion is only possible because of the people who make up our team. To celebrate the individuals behind our success, we’re launching a series of introductions to highlight their journeys, experiences, and contributions.

We are starting with Sowparnika, whose journey from India to the UK has been both inspiring and exciting. Outside of work, her days often begin with dropping her children off at school before she gets into work mode, and end with time spent with family and friends, routines that reflect the balance and focus she brings for her role every day.

Sowparnika’s interest in engineering began at a young age, sparked by natural curiosity for how things work. ‘I always enjoyed solving problems’ she says. That passion grew into a desire to study engineering, where she could combine creativity with problem solving to create practical solutions.

Family has played a central role in shaping her journey.

My journey has been shaped by the encouragement of those closest to me. My husband has been a constant source of strength, supporting my decision to travel to the UK to pursue further studies. That opportunity expanded my skills, knowledge, and career horizons. My mother has also been a key influence, always motivating me and reminding me to persevere. But perhaps my greatest inspiration has been my father. He trained at an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) but never had a chance to study engineering. Fulfilling his dream has always been one of my biggest motivations. His story continues to inspire me to work hard and make him proud.

When asked what excites her most about work at Transvault, Sowparnika highlights the company culture.

“I was amazed at how approachable everyone is. In my previous roles, I had never interacted with a CEO. But here, I’ll always remember being invited to a coffee for a chat with ours. It was such a refreshing and personal experience.

I’m also fortunate to work with an incredible manager who is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely caring and supportive. If I had to choose again, I would always choose Chris. This combination of leadership, teamwork, and opportunities to grow makes Transvault a truly special place to work.”

For Sowparnika, engineering isn’t just a job, it’s a reflection of her values.

“I love solving problems, staying curious, and continuously learning new tools and technologies. Every day offers fresh challenges, whether it’s exploring new software like Migrator, troubleshooting issues, or collaborating with teammates. The strong sense of teamwork and communication within the group has helped me grow both professionally and personally.”

The future of engineering excites her, especially with emerging technologies such as AI. “At Transvault, there is a constant drive to innovate and improve, and being part of a team that embraces change and creativity makes me optimistic about what lies ahead.”

Advice for Future Engineers?

If I could share on piece of advice, it would be something a professor once told me: ‘Failing to plan is planning to fail.’ Careful planning is at the heart of engineering, and it can make the difference between success and failure. For anyone starting out, my advice is simple: plan thoughtfully, stay curious, and never stop learning.

We’re proud to have Sowparnika as part of the Transvault team, and her journey is a wonderful example of the dedication and passion that drive our success.
