Role Overview:

Transvault, a market leader in the technology data migration industry is actively seeking an experienced and results-driven professional to join our team as a Senior Sales Manager. This new role will a pivotal part in propelling the company’s growth, working closely with the Global Head of Sales to drive sales initiatives, foster partnerships, and lead a direct sales program contributing to the overall success of the organisation.

The role will be based in the UK, with a global focus on direct sales engagements. The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for cultivating and expanding relationships with international organisations, particularly with key partners such as Microsoft.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute effective direct sales strategies to meet the aim of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Partners and Customers, tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
  • Lead the sales cycle, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and team success.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Pre Sales, Services) to enhance product knowledge and communicate value propositions effectively.
  • Research, identify, and prospect new business opportunities to maintain an active pipeline.
  • Direct contact with external software vendors as well as large customers direct.

Outputs & Deliverables

  • Generate a pipeline of key product opportunities with direct enterprises.
  • Create new partnerships to drive referrals and build a consistent pipeline of referrals.
  • Tactical response plans for emerging opportunities / market changes.
  • Revenue reports.
  • Order and invoicing forecasts.
  • Win/loss cause reporting, associated discussions and remedial or reinforcing activity, and feedback to the relevant part of the team. Sales and qualification processes.
  • CRM usage processes and consistently high-quality CRM data maintenance.
  • New, Key, Strategic customer account management plans.
  • Monthly Board reports.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven track record of success in a global senior sales role, consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong background in direct sales, showcasing negotiation, influencing, and decision-making skills for all Product offerings.
  • Excellent team and business skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • In-depth knowledge of data migrations and a keen understanding of customer needs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Resilience and strength to overcome challenges and challenge the status quo within and outside of Transvault.
