Barney Haye
Job Title: CEO
Biography: The founder of TransVault, Barney championed the business opportunities afforded by vendor lock-in in the email archiving marketplace. Prior to TransVault he established the European distribution channel for the EAS archiving product on behalf of EDUCOM and ZANTAZ, this followed his role as product manager aligned to Enterprise Vault during the start-up phase for KVS in early 2000. Graduating with an honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College in 1983, and progressing through technical work for a variety of UK software houses, Barney transitioned into Technical Consulting, Product Management and Account Management before joining SevernSoft in 1995 as a Messaging Solutions Sales Specialist.
Janet Bagot
Job Title: CTO
Biography: Janet has managed support and technical consulting teams at SevernSoft since 1995, becoming in the process one of the most experienced architects of enterprise email archiving systems. Her teams have designed and support some of the largest installations in Europe. During 2006 Janet encapsulated this experience into the first iterations of TransVault. Prior to joining SevernSoft, Janet worked as IT Manager at Heron International. Janet continues to provide a strong influence on the design and direction of TransVault products.
Dan Langille
Job Title: Business Development, North America
Biography: Dan brings to TransVault a decade of channel management and business development experience with messaging-focused software vendors. Prior to joining the software industry, Dan worked in financial services as an investment advisor with a national brokerage house. Dan holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary's University.
Andy Clare
Job Title: Business Development, EMEA & AsiaPac regions
Biography: Having spent the last year and a half at a leading archive vendor, Andy previously spent a few years living and working in the European Alps with the TUI group as customer services manager specialising in skiing and mountain holidays. His career background is in IT though, working for Fujitsu Services for several years earlier, so technology is very much an 'on piste' subject.
Sara Appleyard
Job Title: Marketing Manager
Biography: Graduating with a degree in Computer Science in 1986, Sara made the progression from software development, technical support, consulting, software sales, product management through to marketing. Translating technical jargon into straightforward business speak is her speciality, as is the world of messaging. Her 'claims to fame' include having been instrumental in launching the first ever corporate SMTP messaging gateway (over 15 years ago) and the first ever email archiving product into the UK, now over a decade ago.
