TVS Launches V5 of its Archive Migration Software

Major release of email archive migration software introduces forensic auditing and reaches 365 supported archive combinations, including migrations to EMC SourceOne and Microsoft Exchange 2010, both onsite and in the cloud.

Bristol, UK, 18th February 2010.  TransVault Software (TVS) has today announced the latest version of TransVault.  This major release is built on a new and extensible reporting platform that enables advanced progress tracking and chain-of-custody auditing.

Significant new connectors introduced with this version support migrations to the new EMC SourceOne platform and to Microsoft Exchange 2010, including hosted Exchange services (EHS) offered as part of Microsoft’s Business Productivity Online Suite or ‘BPOS’.  Version 5 also offers migration options for Lotus Notes sites with legacy archives, including the ability to transition to either the Symantec or the EMC solution for Notes.  Organizations considering migrating from Notes to Exchange 2010 can now do so without losing access to legacy Notes emails, using TransVault to move as well as convert Notes emails into Exchange format.

According to TVS managing director Barney Haye, “In addition to support for more platforms, this version will enable our partners to offer more value-add to their customers, including a forensic email migration history.  Customers need total assurance that, when they move to a new email or archiving platform, nothing is missed out or changed.  Without this they cannot rely on their email records as evidential proof and could fall short of their compliance remit.

Our support for migrations to Exchange 2010 follows requests received from unregulated customers who believe mailbox management will no longer hold the same priority with this new release from Microsoft in place.”
