Announcing TransVault Version 4.7

[Bristol, UK, 8th December 2009]  TransVault Software (TVS) has today announced version 4.7 of its email archive migration solution bringing the number of supported migration combinations to over 200.  This new release adds large-scale, audited restorations into Microsoft Exchange servers; movement of data to and from cloud-based archives, and extraction out of legacy iLumin archives.

The new Microsoft Exchange Connector enables all supported archive formats to send data directly into Exchange servers.  As well as migrating the contents of 3rd party archives into the new Exchange 2010 archiving facility, organizations can use this connector to reconstruct vital email evidence archived from journal mailboxes such as BCC’d emails and emails sent to distribution lists.  It also gives the opportunity to re-architect data across a new Exchange server configuration.

An EML File Extraction Connector is designed to help customers move archives from a cloud-based service back to an on-premise archive or simply back into Exchange and an iLumin Assentor Extraction Connector will be used to help consolidate some of the oldest email archives in corporate America.

With full integration into the TransVault pluggable framework these new connectors benefit from the full auditing, automation and process control features proven during many migration projects.

According to Andy Clare, EMEA and AsiaPac region Business Development Manager at TVS, “The variety of migration scenarios our partner network can now address is growing in giant leaps with each new release.  TransVault is enabling organizations to future-proof their legacy archive-data with the flexibility of choosing between onsite, hosted and now Microsoft archiving platforms.”
